Students in Deborah Brown's eighth-grade religion class work through a dress rehearsal of Stations of the Cross, a 14-step Catholic devotion that commemorates Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man, at St. Patrick's Catholic School in Robertsdale on Wednesday. The school's eighth-grade class has been doing a performance of the devotion for students and parents during Holy Week for more than 40 years. Brown said because eighth grade is the final grade before graduating from St. Patrick's, students see it as a leadership opportunity where they can reach out to other students and show them that their faith is important.
