The Kiwanis Club of Bay Minette recently joined forces with Beta Chi Sigma to gather donations for Crowne Nursing Home (Oakwood) in Bay Minette. As part of a community service effort, the Baldwin County High School organization collected a variety of items aimed at brightening the lives of nursing home residents. Beta Chi Sigma's drive sought donations such as activity books, pens, pencils, color pencils, unscented lotions, sugar-free candies and other items. These donations will be delivered to the nursing home in the coming days. Kiwanis Club members Tina Covington, Martha Ryan and Brittany Clay helped present the gathered items to Starla Chapman, a member of Beta Chi Sigma.
