Gulf Coast Media's Kiddie Compass is your guide to family-friendly events across Baldwin County.
From sensory-friendly film screenings at AMC Jubilee Square to the Baldwin Pops' holiday concerts and a teen DIY candy cane sleigh workshop at Daphne Public Library, there's something for every age and interest. Many events are free or low-cost, offering affordable ways to create lasting memories.

What: Downtown OWA brings themed game nights to families with Game Night Thursdays. Join in for activities like human foosball, giant soccer, outdoor laser tag, human tic-tac-toe and giant twister. Themes vary each night, so bring your best game face and enjoy larger-than-life competitions. Visit OWA Parks & Resort website for more details. Nov. 14 is Sports Game Night at OWA – with put-put, ginat soccer, volleyball and human foosball.

What: Put on your coziest pajamas and join Santa at the Bay Minette Public Library for a magical evening of holiday bedtime stories. This festive event is perfect for getting little ones in the holiday spirit.
When: Friday, Dec. 6, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Bay Minette Public Library, 205 W. 2nd Street, Bay Minette
Price: Free
What: Celebrate the holiday season at Jordan Beech Farm Village with a variety of family-friendly activities. Enjoy multiple Christmas-themed photo props and backdrops for your DIY pictures or hire a photographer. From 3 to 6 p.m., a professional Santa will be available for photos with kids. The event also features $5 pony rides (with breaks every 30 minutes for the animals), $2 horse treats (carrot-free due to allergies), food trucks and pop-up Christmas shopping. A sensory-friendly photo session will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Donations for the Robertsdale Blessing Barn are appreciated but not required.
When: Saturday, Dec. 7, 1-7 p.m.

Price: Admission is free; additional costs include pony rides ($5) and horse treats ($2).

What: The Baldwin Pops Band, conducted by Wayne Fillingim, presents a festive holiday concert featuring classic pieces like "A Christmas Festival" and "Sleigh Ride" by Leroy Anderson, audience singalongs, and a narration of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." Santa is expected to make a special appearance. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program.

What: AMC Jubilee Square 12 is hosting sensory-friendly film showings for the community. These screenings feature adjusted lighting and sound, creating a relaxed environment where attendees can move around, dance or sing. Family-friendly films are offered on the second and fourth Saturday mornings, and mature audience films are shown Wednesday evenings. Upcoming movies include "Wicked" and "Moana 2."

What: Magnolia United Methodist Church is hosting "Caring Connections," an inclusive playgroup designed for children with special needs and their caregivers. The event includes open play, music, crafts and time for caregivers to relax and connect with others over refreshments. Limited to 10 children, ages 6 months to 6 years. Registration is required. Rumor has it that Santa will also make a special appearance.

What: Teens are invited to get creative at the Daphne Public Library by making candy cane sleighs — fun and easy gifts that double as holiday decorations. All materials will be provided. For more information, call (251) 620-2500.

What: Send your holiday wish list directly to the North Pole at the Thomas B. Norton Library. From Nov. 26 to Dec. 18, drop off or fill out your letter to Santa in the Youth Services section.
