Baldwin County is packed with opportunities for families to explore, learn and create together.
From interactive storytimes to hands-on art projects and STEM challenges, this week's events offer something for every young explorer. Kids can dive into an ocean-themed reading adventure, test their creativity at an open art studio or join a Pokémon open play session.

Many activities are free or low-cost, making it easy for families to add a little extra excitement to their week. Check out these upcoming events and plan a fun-filled outing for the whole family.

STORYTIME AT THOMAS B. NORTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

What: Weekly storytime at the library for children of all ages. Join in for engaging stories, laughter and fun at your local library. For more information, call (251) 968-1176.

KATHY GROTH'S "OCEAN PARTY" STORYTIME

What: Author Kathy Groth will host a special storytime featuring her new book "Ocean Party." A shell craft activity will follow the reading. Limited autographed copies of Groth's books will be available. Families are invited to bring their children for an engaging afternoon of storytelling and creativity.

When: Thursday, Feb. 20, 2 p.m.

ECO-ART: OYSTER SHELL DECOUPAGE

What: Gulf State Park will host an eco-art class where participants will create decoupage with oyster shells. This class is open to all ages. ALL AGES WALK-IN OPEN STUDIO MAKERSPACE

What: Paint Party Studios will host an open studio event for artists of all ages. Participants can choose from various projects including canvases, wood cutouts and wood jewelry. A $10 studio fee allows guests to bring their own project and supplies. No reservations are needed but attendees may text (251) 343-2423 for more information or to reserve seats. Private party bookings are also available.

When: Friday, Feb. 21, 1-6 p.m.

KREWE DU KIDZ MASQUERADE

What: Downtown OWA will host the Krewe du Kidz Masquerade, a family-friendly Mardi Gras celebration. The event features crafts, games, a shoebox float competition and a coronation for the Krewe du Kidz King and Queen. Guests are encouraged to wear Mardi Gras attire. POKÉMON OPEN PLAY

What: Game Kastle - Orange Beach will host a casual Pokémon open play event. Players of all skill levels are welcome to participate. Promotional packs will be handed out as prizes while supplies last.

STEAM FAIR AT BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH

What: Sands Academy will host a STEAM Fair allowing participants to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Attendees can choose a project category, create a tri-fold board and present their research or demonstration. Participants must fill out a registration form at https://forms.gle/oUg6UZhwpKf28ujX7.  Individual projects are $10 and family projects (up to four students one ribbon) are $20. Rules and instructions are available in the event's files section. Participants should arrive at 11:30 a.m. to set up projects. All attendees are welcome to observe.

When: Tuesday, Feb. 25, noon

Where: Bethel Baptist Church, 22250 U.S. 90, Robertsdale

Price: $10 per individual project, $20 per family project

FAMILY GAME NIGHT AT SPANISH FORT PUBLIC LIBRARY

What: Gather with family and friends for a traditional game night featuring classic board and card games.

When: Tuesday, Feb. 25, 4:30-7 p.m.
