School's out, the days are long and there's no shortage of ways to keep the kids active and engaged. If you're on the hunt for family fun that mixes play with a little learning, Gulf Coast Media has rounded up this week's top picks.
From bubble bashes and book readings to bowling deals and day camps, Baldwin County is buzzing with kid-friendly events designed to entertain without breaking the bank. Whether your crew is into music, movement or making memories outdoors, there's something on the calendar for every age and interest.

What: The Wharf in Orange Beach will host its weekly Bubble Bash on Main Street. Families can enjoy music from DJ Matt, camel rides, cornhole, face painting and more. The Bubble Truck will be on-site, with glow bubbles starting at 8 p.m. The event concludes with the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience. Attendees are encouraged to bring a swimsuit and towel for water activities.
When: Thursday, June 19, 6-9 p.m.

Price: Free admission and parking; some activities cost $5-$10
What: The Gulf Bowl will offer $2 bowling games and $2 shoe rentals every Monday throughout the summer. The promotion is first come, first served with no reservations accepted. Visit the Gulf Bowl's Facebook page for updates and additional summer specials.

What: Alabama 4-H, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Baldwin County Master Gardeners and Baldwin County 4-H will host "A World of Frogs," a nature day camp designed to keep children ages 6-13 engaged in summer learning. Activities will explore the world of frogs and other outdoor wonders in a fun, educational setting.
When: Tuesday, June 24, 8 a.m.-noon
Where: Foley Civic Center, 407 E. Laurel Ave., Foley
Price: Free
What: Bay Minette Public Library will host a special Story Time event with a field trip to the new Justice Center across the street from the library. All children are welcome to attend. Participants should meet at the library at 9:45 a.m. to walk over as a group. Follow the library's Facebook page for updates.

What: Fairhope Public Library will host back-to-back storytime sessions for young readers. The toddler session, for ages 18 months to 3 years, includes 15-20 minutes of reading, rhymes and music, followed by time for play, socialization or crafts. The big kid session, for ages 4 and older, features rhymes, music, games and crafts designed to foster listening skills and a love of books.
When: Tuesday, June 24; toddler storytime at 10-11 a.m., big kid storytime at 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

What: Bay City Gymnastics Academy will offer an open play session for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Activities include gross motor play, sensory stimulation and opportunities for social interaction. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call (251) 621-2112.
When: Tuesday, June 24, 1-2 p.m., and Wednesday, June 25, 10-11 a.m.
