Looking for ways to keep the kids entertained this summer?

Baldwin County is packed with family-friendly fun that sparks creativity, encourages learning and makes the most of every sunny day. From crafting and storytime to low-cost bowling, there's something happening every week to keep boredom at bay.

Best of all, many of these activities are free or easy on the wallet, so you can keep the good times rolling without stretching your summer budget.

TEEN CRAFTERNOON

What: Teens ages 13-18 are invited to the Fairhope Public Library for Teen Crafternoon each Monday. Each week offers a different craft or project with materials provided. This week's session features a mini stitched series. Visit www.fairhopelibrary.org or call (251) 928-7483 for details.

When: Monday, July 7, 5-6 p.m.

Where: Fairhope Public Library, 501 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope

Price: Free

$2 MONDAYS AT THE GULF BOWL

What: The Gulf Bowl will offer $2 bowling games and $2 shoe rentals every Monday during summer hours. The deal is available on a first come, first served basis with no reservations accepted. Additional specials may be announced on the Gulf Bowl's Facebook page. Visit www.gulfbowl.com for more.

When: Monday, July 8, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Where: The Gulf Bowl, 2881 S. Juniper St., Foley

Price: $2 per game per person and $2 for shoe rental

SUMMER READING KID'S FREE BUILD

What: Children are invited to the Foley Public Library for Summer Reading Free Build sessions in the children's area. Kids can use LEGOS, Magna-Tiles, Brain Flakes and other STEM building tools to construct and create. The program is designed for children with an accompanying adult. Drop offs are not permitted. STORYTIME WITH MISS PAULA

CRAFTY KIDS – ANIMAL NECKLACES

What: Children of all ages are welcome to join Crafty Kids at the Orange Beach Public Library to create colorful animal necklaces. Participants will choose an animal figurine and design a necklace using beads and other craft materials. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
