FOLEY — Johnstone Supply cut the ribbon to its new location in Foley this past Wednesday.

Johnstone is a national wholesale distributor in air conditioning and heating supplies, selling a variety of products that range from specialty equipment to maintenance supplies for residential and commercial needs. The company already has locations in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, Florida, but it has been their goal to bring a location to the coastal Alabama area for a while.

"Baldwin County is the fifth-fastest growing county, so it just made sense," said Brad Wilcox, manager of the Foley location.

To celebrate the opening, the company hosted the event along with members of Foley's elected officials in attendance. They served food while also hosting several vendors to show off their products to guests and potential customers.

They also had several giveaways for items such as firepits while vendors gave out tools and other goodies. Johnstone also gave out their own swag bags for guests that included hats, pins, a shirt and golf balls.

"Come see us," Wilcox said. "Johnstone has been around for a long time. We're the largest HVAC wholesaler in the country. ... We just try to go to market a little different with our showrooms, deliveries and online ordering and stuff like that to make everything easier for the contractor."

The store is at 1000 S. McKenzie St. and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
