Dust off your Hawaiian shirt and find your parrot hat. Jimmy Buffett may be gone, but his legacy continues.
The Coral Reefer Band is set to perform at The Wharf Amphitheater Aug. 1.
Keep The Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett featuring The Coral Reefer Band honors Jimmy Buffett’s life and career as a singer-songwriter. The concert will roll into three cities this August; Orange Beach; Atlanta, Georgia; and Cincinnati, Ohio. Those set to perform include Mac McAnally, Robert Greenidge, Peter Mayer, Jim Mayer, Roger Guth, Doyle Grisham, Josh Lovell, Eric Darken, Mike Utley, Nadirah Shakoor, Tina Gullickson, Scotty Emerick and Will Kimbrough.
The concert supports Singing For Change (SFC), Jimmy Buffett’s nonprofit charity established in 1995. Its mission is to honor Buffett’s spirit of giving, helping others and having fun along the way. The SFC’s funding focus is on nontraditional, grassroots organizations that might be overlooked by conventional funders. Every contribution advances Buffett’s desire to give back and share some success. They’ve been “sprinkling pixie dust” as he called it, all over the U.S. and various parts of the globe for 30 years.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 14, at 10 a.m. To purchase tickets, visit www.ticketmaster.com or The Wharf Box Office at 23101 Canal Road, Orange Beach.
