FORT MORGAN – The much-anticipated second Jesse’s Restaurant is one step closer to opening, and they’re looking for people to fill its staff.

Jesse’s on The Bay, located near the Shellbanks Community, is the second spot for the iconic Jesse’s Restaurant in Magnolia Springs, which opened in 1999. The Fort Morgan location was announced in Spring 2021 and will feature two separate dining options for guests. The upstairs will offer diners everything they come to expect from Jesse’s and a similar menu to the Magnolia Springs location. It will be a little more fish-focused with items such as dry aged fish. The downstairs will offer a casual but upscale raw bar.

Laurence Agnew, group executive chef, said Jesse’s on The Bay will open soon but that an exact date has yet to be set. He said they are hoping for the beginning of April.

He also said the main focus is getting the main dining room open first.

“We are hosting a job fair this week for hiring all front of the house and back of the house positions for,” Agnew said, noting open positions include sous chefs, front of the house managers, line cooks, dishwashers, bartenders and servers.

The Jesse’s on The Bay job fair is running Wednesday, March 8, through Friday, March 10, from noon to 5 p.m. at Jesse’s in Magnolia Springs, 14770 Oak St., and Thursday, March 9, for the next three weeks from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the new Fort Morgan location, 1631 Crosswinds Court.
