Jean Devine Street, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, due to complications from a brain aneurism.

Jean was a devoted Christian who was defined by Christ’s claim on her life. She appealed to the Lord daily for His goodness and strength. She was a loving grandmother, mother, wife, and sister. She found joy in serving the community. She was a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore, and has lived in Fairhope since 1964, when she married her husband and the love of her life. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope where she was a Sunday School teacher, Pew Packer, participated in Handbell Choir, and helped with Children’s Choir and Vacation Bible School. Her love for others was her ministry, and she didn’t miss a day. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Martin Street, Sr.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Laureen Street Bell Davis (Tony); sons, Clifford Martin Street, Jr. (Kristie) and Kendall Street (Lauren); grandchildren, Maegan Bell, Cassidy Ashley, Hannah Bell, Joshua Bell, Savannah Street, Clifford Martin Street, III “Trey”, Kate Street and Kendall Street; along with innumerable other relatives and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Fairhope, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Fairhope. Mrs. Street will lie-in-state from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow at Brook-Cedron Cemetery.
