Auburn cornerback DJ James was one of three Tigers named to All-Southeastern Conference teams following the conclusion of the regular season. James was a second-team selection and both defensive end Derick Hall and running back Tank Bigsby were named to the third-team All-SEC.

The Spanish Fort alum recorded 37 total tackles between 25 solos and 12 assists as well as 1 tackle for loss in 12 games played. James collected his first collegiate interception and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown as well as collected a career-high 8 pass breakups on the season.

James ranked tenth in the SEC with the 8 passes defended where he was tied with teammate Nehemiah Pritchett, Mekhi Gardner from LSU, Terrion Arnold from Alabama and Tyreek Chappell from Texas A&M. His 27 interception return yards ranked 20th in the conference and his 1 pick-six had him tied for second behind only Mississippi State’s Emmanuel Forbes, who registered three.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl recently invited James, Hall, Pritchett, Eku Leota and Owen Pappoe and the team also announced Friday that Hall accepted his invite.

The defensive lineman listed at 6’ 3” and 251 pounds racked up a career-best in total tackles for a single season with 60, including 11.5 tackles for losses and 6.5 sacks, in 12 games. He also forced two fumbles and recovered another one to rank eighth in the SEC in forced fumbles and fifth in the conference in tackles for loss.

Bigsby carried the load in the backfield and finished with 970 rushing yards on 179 attempts for an average of 5.4 yards per carry. He matched a career-high with 10 rushing touchdowns which had him ranked fourth in the SEC this season.

He also caught 30 passes for 180 receiving yards for 1,150 total yards from scrimmage. Bisby was ranked fifth in the conference in rushing attempts and yards, seventh in total yards from scrimmage and ninth in touchdowns from scrimmage.
