James G. Heil, D.V.M., age 80, a resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.
James was a very well-known veterinarian in Baldwin County for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Elberta, Alabama.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Heil and his sister, Barbara Knight.
James is survived by his daughter, Katherine "Gail" Gaskill of Pensacola, Florida; sons, Rickey (Chom Sam) Gaskill of Hinesville, Georgia, Marvin (Tonya) Gaskill of Foley, Alabama; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Bill (Linda) Heil of Albion, California, Thomas Heil of Elberta, Alabama, John (Pam) Heil of Houston, Texas, Kenny (Debbie) Heil of Elberta, Alabama; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services were held at Elberta Public Cemetery on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 at 10:00 am.
