GULFPORT, Miss. — The Mississippi Aquarium is honoring military servicemen and women with complimentary admission throughout Memorial Day weekend, May 26 to May 29.

"Thousands of active and veteran servicemen and women live and work along the coast," said Patrick Pearson, vice president of sales and marketing. "We hope to honor the daily sacrifices they make in service of our country with this promotion and provide an opportunity to bring their families."

Active duty, reserve, spouses of deployed soldiers and veteran service members who show their military ID card or DD 214 will receive complimentary admission for themselves and 10% off for guests in their party. In addition to the admission discounts, Pelican Point Café will offer 10% off all food and drink purchases.

The Mississippi Aquarium opened Aug. 29, 2020, and features a range of exhibits that highlight different marine environments on the six-acre campus. Explore habitats such as the Mississippi Sound, delta, marsh, barrier islands and open ocean. The aquarium offers experiences everyone can enjoy such as touch tanks, dolphin presentations, aviary, virtual reality and educational programs.

The Mississippi Aquarium is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is at 2100 E. Beach Blvd., Gulfport, Mississippi. For more information, visit www.msaquarium.org.
