The start of November means it is time for the annual Honey Bee Festival. There will be something for everyone to enjoy Saturday, Nov. 5 at Honey Bee Park in Robertsdale.

The day of fun kicks off with the Honey Bee 5K and 1-mile run/walk at 8 a.m. Pre-registration is $25 for adults, age 19 and over, $15 for students and day of $30 for adults and $20 for students. Registration for the run is open until Nov. 4. For more information about the race or to register, visit events.com.

The Honey Bee Festival is a day of fun for the whole family. The park will fill with arts and crafts vendors, food trucks and vendors. Live entertainment will run all day long and there will be loads of fun for the children in a dedicated area. Do not miss your chance to meet the Honey Bee Queens and their court.

The event has served as a fundraiser for the Central Baldwin Education Foundation which was organized in 2008. The purpose of the CBEF is to encourage academic excellence in the Central Baldwin area schools by providing funding which is not available through traditional local, state or federal sources.

The foundation provides opportunities for teachers and staff to develop innovative projects through grants; to invest in programs and enrichment activities that have a positive impact on student success; to encourage a continued interest in and support of public education through a network of businesses, individual and community involvement; and to seek and cultivate funding sources for educational excellence.

The Honey Bee Festival is Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Honey Bee Park is located at 22780 State Highway 59, Robertsdale.
