Louie Lee Hadley, 82, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at a Baldwin County hospital.

He was a native of Perdido, a veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW and retired from the Alabama Drydock and Shipbuilding Company.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Allen and a granddaughter, Christi Schmidt.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mamie L. Hadley of Perdido; four sons, Roger Hadley, Ronald Hadley, Joseph Hadley and Brian Hadley, all of Perdido; three daughters, Patsy Newhart and Peggy McDuffie, both of Perdido and Janice Williams of Nokomis; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Syluce Lee Hadley of Houston; and five sisters, Lelia Mosley of Lottie, Eunice Stewart of Rabun, Geneva Smith of Chickasaw, Shirley Peacock and Toni Roberts, both of Bay Minette.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Welch officiating. Burial followed at Bryars-McGill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were, Jeremy Cox, Casey Williams, Josey Hadley, Nip Hadley, Wayne Coleman and Skip Lynam. Honorary pallbearer was Ricky Mitchem.

Arrangements were made by Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, Atmore.
