GWOT Wall of Remembrance coming to Robertsdale's Warrior Legacy Ranch, concert planned

Posted

Warrior Legacy Ranch is set to host the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Wall of Remembrance in Robertsdale Aug. 22-25.

This event will culminate in a concert on Aug. 24 at 6:30 p.m., featuring artists from Label22 Records.

The concert will include performances by Sal Gonzales, a contestant from Season 9 of "America's Got Talent," Chris Turner and Alabama's own Lochridge & Co., with special guest Stephen Cochran. This event offers the community a chance to enjoy music while honoring veterans, servicemembers and their families.

The GWOT Wall of Remembrance is the only traveling memorial wall that pays tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice from the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, through the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan in 2021. It also commemorates those killed in the 9/11 attacks. The memorial has provided closure to many veterans, Gold Star families and those impacted by 9/11.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for an evening of music and reflection. This family
friendly event promises a memorable experience in honoring the bravery and sacrifices of those who served in the Global War on Terrorism.

Warrior Legacy Ranch is committed to fostering connection and support among veterans and their families. Hosting the GWOT Wall of Remembrance aligns with its mission to honor national heroes and provide a space for reflection and community engagement.

Warrior Legacy Ranch, a new nonprofit, is raising funds to create a sanctuary in Robertsdale aimed at supporting military veterans through healing and companionship.

"Warrior Legacy Ranch provides a space for veterans to reflect on their military service, revisit memories and gain a sense of closure," said Patrick Jump, president of Warrior Legacy Ranch, in a previous Gulf Coast Media article. "We are excited to include all that Baldwin County has to offer in the process of improving mental health with the heroes that have served this country."

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Warrior Legacy Ranch invites community support to help finance the project. Updates on the ranch's progress and donation opportunities can be found on their website at www.warriorlegacyranch.org or their Facebook page.
