The beach at Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion is now more accessible to everyone. This week, Gulf State Park deployed a Mobi-Mar ADA Beach Access Mat at the west boardwalk. The mat stretches 200 feet from the end of the boardwalk ending just 50 feet from the Gulf of Mexico.

Mobi-Mar ADA Beach Access Mats are designed to ease the walk over sand for those with limited mobility and give those in wheelchairs the ability to go onto the beach in their wheelchair.

Accessibility mats can also be found in Gulf Shores at the west end of Gulf Place Public Beach parking area at West 2nd Street and at the east end of Gulf Place Public Beach near the Pink Pony.
