Gulf Shores seeks resident input

Posted

The city of Gulf Shores is seeking the input of residents regarding what the city is doing well, needs improving and which initiatives should be prioritized by conducting a Resident Satisfaction Survey. All residents within the corporate limits are asked to participate.
The results of the survey will be provided to city staff and officials to consider during planning.
"The ultimate goal of all our elected officials and city staff is to continually improve the quality of life for everyone living in Gulf Shores. The feedback we get from this survey will help us accomplish that," said Public Engagement Manager Lindsey Hart.
Gulf Shores residents regularly engage with the City Council and staff during weekly City Council meetings and project-specific input meetings. Hart said the regular engagement is usually driven by a resident bringing an issue or grievance to the attention of staff or council to resolve.
"We had no tool in place for the city of Gulf Shores to measure the community's satisfaction at large. The Resident Satisfaction Survey will provide the necessary data and statistical information needed to accurately show the general public opinion of the residents of Gulf Shores on all city services and allow us to incorporate this feedback into future planning," Hart said.
City residents are asked to complete the survey online by Friday, Jan. 14. All responses will be kept confidential and only reported in aggregate format through a third-party vendor. Only full-time residents within the corporate limits of the city of Gulf Shores are asked to participate. The survey can be found at: www.gulfshoresal.gov/survey.
If you have questions about the survey, contact Hart, at lhart@gulfshoresal.gov.
