GSPD responded to a report of a fight at Gulf Place at approximately 8:51 p.m., Monday, March 27. They were alerted of a suspect with a gun and shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located one victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect was located and taken into custody. The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition. The names of the victim and suspect have not been released. Police say both are males.

According to an update on the GSPD Facebook page, the shooting occurred during a physical altercation between several juvenile and adult subjects.

Gulf Place was closed to the public overnight while officers conducted their investigation. It is now open.
