Gulf Shores announces W.C. Holmes Bridge set for temporary nighttime lane closure July 22-24

The City of Gulf Shores  has announced a temporary nighttime closure of the right, southbound lane on the W.C. Holmes Bridge starting Monday, July 22, through Wednesday, July 24.

This closure will only take place during the guardrail modifications and maintenance set to be conducted from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the city’s release. Gulf Shores advises that both residents and guests plan ahead and use caution driving through the area during this span.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure,” the city stated.

Details of the lane closure:
- Location: Right, southbound lane of the W.C. Holmes (Hwy. 59) Bridge
- Dates: Monday-Wednesday (July 22-24)
- Time: Lane closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
