Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanza or Christmas, this can be a remarkably busy time of the year. But if your calendar has some open space you would like to fill, we have some fun events on this weekend’s list. Start your weekend on Thursday with a visit with the Grinch in Orange Beach or the menorah lighting in Daphne. Then on Friday, head to The Wharf to donate blood or venture to Pensacola for Winterfest. Wrap up the weekend Sunday at Flora-Bama’s potluck. Meet the Grinch
What: Enjoy a cup of coffee and beignets while you visit with the Grinch. Be sure to bring your camera.
Public menorah lighting
What: Join Congregation Mayim Chayim as they light the menorah and celebrate Hanukkah.

Holiday Express

Life South blood drive
What: Do your part to save a life this holiday season at The Wharf. Life South is hosting a blood drive and all donors will receive a $24 e-Gift card. All blood types needed

Winterfest
What: The moment you enter Plaza Wonderland on Palafox Place, the snow begins to fall. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate as you wait for the conductor to call your name to board the mini train. Enjoy the lights, snow, and magical scenery. Visit www.pensacolawinterfest.org for all the tours available, dates and to purchase tickets.

Flora-Bama Christmas Potluck
What: Enjoy a Christmas meal with family, friends and soon to be friends at the Flora-Bama’s annual Christmas Potluck dinner. Everyone is welcome. Turkey and ham will be provided by the Flora-Bama and everyone attending is encouraged to bring a covered dish to share.
When: Sunday, Dec. 25, doors open at noon and dinner service begins at 1 p.m.
