GSCS to reveal next 10 years of district plans

GULF SHORES - After 16 months of rigorous planning and discussion, the Gulf Shores City School system has set the date to reveal what the next 10 years has in store for the district. The school system’s masterplan will be revealed to the public on Tuesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center (1930 West Second Street, Gulf Shores).
“If you remember it’s almost exactly three years to the day that we introduced phase one on March 12, 2019,” said Kevin Corcoran, president of the board. “That was our first wave, including the branding and everything else. We had an incredible crowd, and we think there will be equal excitement involved in the unveiling of this masterplan and the future of Gulf Shores City Schools over the next 10-plus years.”
Visit www.gsboe.org or find the district on Facebook @gulfshorescityschools for updates.
“This is a culmination of what’s been 16 months of master planning, charting the next 10 years of our school district in an ever-changing environment in the fastest growing city in all of Alabama,” Corcoran said. “We’re really hoping to make this a community event that everybody can get excited about.”
