Hangout Music Festival 2023 is just days away. It is time to make your final outfit choices, stock up on sunscreen and start that rehydration regimen.
There is a lot more to Hangout than standing or dancing at a musical performance. There are areas offering activities, places to relax or even get married, and we have all the details to help you plan for in between your artists.
First thing’s first, download the Hangout Music Festival app so you have access to set lists, maps and get emergency notifications.
Looking for the ultimate hangout spot or place to meet up with friends? Teva Camp Hangout is the place to be. In addition to being a beach access area, there are cabanas and beach chairs to relax, sunset campfire s’mores, crafts, Slip n’ Slide, volleyball, morning yoga and live sandcastle building. Some of the special programming being offered at Teva Camp Hangout include:
Sustainable bracelet making
• When: Noon – 2 p.m. daily
• Where: Picnic tables in Camp Hangout
Sustainable tie-dyeing experience
Sunset happy hour
• When: 6:30 p.m. – 7: 30 p.m. daily
• Where: Camp Hangout
Support The Haven, an no-kill animal shelter. Stop by and give some cute adoptable shelter pups a snuggle, kiss, take a selfie or possibly meet your four-legged soul mate.
Strap on some wheels and enjoy one of the most popular destinations at Hangout. The rink is a massive, dedicated space. No need to bring your own roller skates because socks and skates are available at the rink.
Hangout Music Festival has partnered with Alabama Coastal Foundation to keep the beach clean and encourage fans to recycle. Visit the recycling tents to recycle empty cans to earn coupons and exchange them for swag. The person who trades in the most recycling will receive two general admission tickets to Hangout Music Festival 2024.
Get married or have a renewal ceremony while your favorite performer serenades you down the aisle. To do it for real, schedule your ceremony by emailing weddings@hangoutmusicfest.com.
Want to bring your bestie a souvenir from the beach but are too busy rocking out? Not a problem. This year, festival organizers have added the Hangout Market Place, which will take over West Beach Boulevard.
Arts and crafts vendors will line the street for your shopping pleasure. The area will also include Hangout Locker Rentals, a phone charging area, Share the Beach recycling and voter registration with Headcount.
