Gloria Ann Whitehead Brown, a longtime resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Jun. 1, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born on Dec. 21, 1940, to Gus Tillman and Catherine Ann Whitehead.
Gloria affectionately known as Gogo was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was a talented artist and an avid reader. She spent many hours tutoring children at Rockwell Elementary School. She was actively involved in the lives of her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, E. Harry Brown, age 86, of Daphne, daughters, Cathy Brown Biggs (Stenson), Chrissy Brown LaVres, Cindy Brown all of Daphne, son, E. Harry Brown, Jr. “Chip” (Aimee) of Hollinger’s Island, four grandchildren Casey LaVres, Hamilton Biggs, Harrison Biggs and Harry Brown III, sisters, Margaret DeGraaf of Pensacola, Florida. Olivia Owens of Daphne, and brother Tony Whitehead of Daphne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wed., Jun. 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family will have a private burial.
