Get ready for hurricane season: Join Baldwin County's Severe Weather Preparedness Town Hall for expert tips and free resources

ROBERTSDALE — Hurricane season begins June 1. Are you ready?

Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency will host a Severe Weather Preparedness Town Hall next week to help residents learn more about storm preparation, and what to do before, during and after a severe weather event strikes.

Volunteer organizations and local vendors will be on hand to provide information and and hand out educational materials regarding disaster planning, mitigation, response, and recovery information. The event is free and open to the public.

The Severe Weather Preparedness Town Hall will include educational presentations from the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service of Mobile/Pensacola. There will also be a panel discussion from local meteorologists with WKRG, FOX 10, and NBC 15.

Attendees will also be able to speak with representatives from the following organizations:

  • Redd's Hotdog Stand
  • Baldwin County Animal Shelter Pet Adoptions
  • Baldwin County Fire Chief's Association Smoke House
  • Baldwin County EMA Command Trailor
  • WKRG's Storm Tracker
