GERALD FREDRICK BISHOP (GERRY BISHOP)
January 8, 1950- June 10, 2025
After spending 115 days in the hospital, Gerry passed away with family and friends by his side, after a long battle with cancer. He lived his entire life in Fairhope, residing in Barnwell. He was preceded in death by his parents Aaron Gerald Bishop and Frances Nelson Bishop.
He is survived by his son Paul/Cindy Bishop and Grandson Ryan of Hoover, Alabama, and his son Robert (Bobby) Bishop of Daphne, Alabama. His brother Jeff Bishop, his sisters Susan Wilson and Marianne/Glenn Stewart, his nieces Haley Bishop and Erin Bilbo, his stepdaughter Deanda Hartley, all of Fairhope, Alabama, and his Granddaughter, Devon Hartley of Juneau, Alaska, his Grandson BJ Bishop, and granddaughter Alexandra Gerber of Daphne, Alabama and many other relatives and friends.
Gerry absolutely loved going deer and dove hunting and throwing his cast net mullet fishing and going floundering. One of his greatest joys was spending his vacations in Fort Morgan and having his whole family and many friends come down for a big fish fry! His love for family and friends will live on in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat., Sept. 13, 2025, from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at Oak Hollow Farm 14210 Greeno Road in Fairhope, Alabama. Casual Attire Please!
