Foley's annual Music and a Movie series is set to return to Heritage Park beginning Friday, April 18, offering a blend of free live music, popular films, local food vendors and family-friendly fun.
The series opens with a concert by Chitlin Switch at 6 p.m. at the park pavilion, followed by a screening of "Wicked" at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the relaxed outdoor setting.
Each Friday evening through late May — excluding the first two weekends in May due to the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival and Art in the Park — will feature a new performance and film pairing. All events are free and open to the public.
On May 16, Mid Life Crisis will take the stage before a showing of "Moana 2." The following week, May 23, The Jason Abel Project will perform ahead of the film "Despicable Me 4." The series will wrap up with a performance by The Shrimp Shack Shooters and a screening of Disney's "Mufasa: The Lion King."
Food vendors will be on-site during the events, offering a variety of local eats. Children can also enjoy free bounce houses provided at the park.
Music and a Movie is hosted at Heritage Park in downtown Foley. Parking is available nearby, and guests are encouraged to arrive early to find a good viewing spot.
