Foley's Kitti Cooper featured in Southern Living as tomato expert

Kitti Cooper of Foley's Cooper Farm was recently featured in Southern Living as an expert in how to grow tomatoes in pots.

The article, titled “Learn To Grow Delicious Tomatoes In Pots With This Comprehensive Guide,” features the “Tomato Queen of Baldwin County,” as local Foley eatery Feast Co. Catering deemed her on its shared post of the article, and her advice on how to best grow juicy, ripe tomatoes no matter how small of a space you have to do so.

“Our goal is to educate and encourage everyone we can to grow their own food in every home. May it be an apartment, a house, an RV, or a homestead,” Cooper wrote in a Facebook post on the farm’s page.

Cooper writes a bi-weekly gardening column for Gulf Coast Media called “Cultivating the Coast with Kitti Cooper,” presented by Saunders Yachtworks.

“There, you can find all my past gardening columns online at the link below. This is a great place to begin your education on gardening in our climate or enrich your current baseline. Or, if you prefer, grab a copy of the paper next Wednesday. You can find my article in print in The Courier, The Onlooker and The Islander,” she wrote.

“Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement,” she wrote, “and the biggest thank you for growing with us.”
