Foley wide receiver Perry Thompson added a big name to his growing list of Division I offers following the Nick Saban Football prospect camp in Tuscaloosa.
The University of Alabama is Thompson’s seventh total offer and first from a Southeastern Conference team.
"I think it's going to be one of my best offers," Thompson told BamaInsider’s Andrew Bone. "I thank (safties) Coach (Charles) Kelly and the Bama staff for making it happen. Coach Saban said I'm a well-rounded wide receiver. I have great speed for my size."
The 6-foot-3, 206-pound rising junior also holds offers from Alabama A&M, Austin Peay, Georgia Southern, Southern Miss, Troy and UAB.
Thompson isn’t the only Lion fielding scholarship offers, however, as rising seniors Harrison Knight, AJ Prim and Cameron Schultz have all had eyes and offers go their way.
Knight, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver, is a three-star rated prospect on Rivals and already has offers from Alabama A&M, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Middle Tennessee State, North Alabama, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Troy.
Prim is listed as 6-foot-3 and 259 pounds and lined up at linebacker last year. He’s been offered by Alabama A&M, Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee State and Nicholls.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound two-way lineman in Schultz has received offers from Louisiana Christian and North Alabama.
The Foley Lions open the 2022 regular season on the road in Prattville Aug. 19 at 7 p.m.
