Foley residents looking to safely dispose of sensitive documents will have the opportunity to do so during the city's upcoming Shred It Day.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24, will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot behind Foley City Hall, located at 407 E. Laurel Ave.
Shred It Day offers a convenient and secure way for residents to shred old bank statements, medical records and other personal paperwork. Documents will be shredded on-site and recycled, ensuring that personal information is properly handled.
Participants are asked to remove any binder clips and avoid bringing CDs or other non-paper items, as this event is strictly for paper recycling. The service is open to Foley area residents only and is intended for residential use.
With identity theft and data security concerns on the rise, events like Shred It Day provide a safe, eco-friendly solution for those needing to dispose of personal records.
