Foley Police investigating copper wire and pipe theft at hospital construction site

Foley Police are investigating the theft of copper wire and pipes valued at approximately $45,000 from a construction site near South Baldwin Regional Medical Center.

According to police, contractors reported the theft of 120 spools of various gauge copper wire and 30 pipes of different sizes.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 5 p.m. on June 10 and 6 a.m. on June 11.

Officers and detectives responded to the site on North Alston Street after the theft was reported. The investigation remains active, and authorities are requesting assistance from the public.
