Foley city offices will be closed Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Day

FOLEY - Many City of Foley offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 17. Closures include city hall, the Foley Public Library, the Foley Welcome Center, Foley’s Railroad Museum and Model Train Exhibit, the Holmes Medical Museum and the Interpretive Center at Graham Creek Nature Preserve, as well as most city departments. Graham Creek Nature Preserve amenities, including the walking trails, and city emergency services will remain open.
The Public Works Department will close for the holiday. Garbage and recycle pick up normally scheduled on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 18. Limbs/yard debris and bulk pick up will also resume on Tuesday. The regularly scheduled joint work session/city council meeting normally held on the second Monday of the month will be held in the Foley Civic Center at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Foley city offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 8 a.m.
