FOLEY – Martial artists converged on the Foley Sports Tourism Complex last weekend for the North American Grappling Association’s U.S. Nationals.

Athletes from 6 years old to adults competed on the mats to determine winners. Gracie Team SE won both the overall adult and kids and teens team competition to win the championship belt. Altogether, athletes won 317 gold medals, 314 silver medals and 180 bronze medals on the day.

Locally, Chandler Calloway from Kuzushi Club BJJ Gulf Shores earned gold in both the 160-169-pound division and the 200-plus-pound division for 16-17-year-olds.
