Crews returned at approximately 8 a.m. due to reports the fire had rekindled.

The Supper Club at Sweetwater Branch is owned by Cooper Restaurants, a division of the Cooper Group of Companies founded by brothers David J. Cooper Sr. and Angus R. Cooper II. The restaurant group owns and operates Felix’s Fish Camp Grill, Bluegill and Ruth’s Chris Steak House – Mobile.

By the afternoon of July 15, the building had been surrounded by a chain link fence to keep out the curious public and crime scene tape was still present. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
