The City of Fairhope announced in a statment today that their annual State of the City event would be postponed due to the winter weather that has hit the Gulf Coast.

Originally scheduled for Thursday night, Jan. 23, the event has been pushed back almost two weeks as the snow that has hit the area continues to affect local roadways and city offices. The State of the City event will now take place on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Mayor Sherry Sullivan will deliver her annual State of the City address, highlighting Fairhope's accomplishments from the past year as well as providing an outline for future plans in store for the city.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to engage with city leaders and officials, as each department will have a dedicated table to showcase their services and discuss their plans and objectives for 2025.

Sullivan's speech is scheduled to begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, enjoy a light dinner and participate in giveaways.
