The Fairhope Lions Club will hold its 19th annual charity golf tournament Oct. 5 at Quail Creek Golf Course, raising funds to support local outreach programs and services across Baldwin County.

The event, a scramble format, begins with registration and lunch at 11 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. according to a news release. Entry costs $125 per player or $200 for a player and spouse, with fees covering golf, lunch, beverages, mulligans, cash awards, a putting contest and a silent auction.

Players will also have a chance to win major prizes, including a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox donated by Terry Thompson Chevrolet and a $25,000 cash award from Dream Vacations, both offered for holes-in-one on designated par 3 holes.

Money raised will help fund the club’s long-standing service efforts, which include support for Ecumenical Ministries, Prodisee Pantry and the Alabama Free Clinic. The Lions Club also contributes to Camp Seale Harris for children with diabetes, Camp Rap-A-Hope for children with cancer, Leader Dogs for the Blind and other organizations that provide assistance in Baldwin County.

For 62 years, the Fairhope Lions Club has delivered community aid through programs such as free eye exams and prescription glasses for low-income residents in partnership with Ecumenical Ministries, Alabama Free Clinic, Prodisee Pantry and Walmart. Last year the club collected more than 3,500 pairs of used glasses for refurbishing and distribution to those in need.

Proceeds from the golf tournament fund these services each year. Players can register by calling Quail Creek Golf Course at (251) 990-0240 or online at www.fairhopelionsclub.com.
