Lights. Camera. Action!
Filmmakers, your time to shine has arrived.
The Fairhope Film Festival is now accepting short film submissions for its 13th annual event, inviting entries from creators around the world.
The 2025 festival will take place Nov. 13–16 in the heart of downtown Fairhope.
Filmmakers can submit entries through FilmFreeway at www.filmfreeway.com/fairhopefilmfestival. Eligible films must have a runtime of 20 minutes or less. Organizers recommend early submissions due to high demand and limited screening slots.
Known for spotlighting "the best of the best" in independent cinema, the festival offers a curated selection of short and feature-length films in a walkable, scenic setting. Screenings, industry panels and networking events are held across downtown Fairhope, with local shops, restaurants and waterfront views adding to the experience.
The annual event draws both emerging and established filmmakers. Last year's short film winners included:
Best Short Film: "Right to Privacy," directed by Julie Herlocker
Audience Award winners:
"Twilight Cafe," directed by Michael Brant DeMaria (Pensacola Beach, Florida)
The festival's continued growth is supported by sponsors, donors and a dedicated community of film lovers. Organizers are inviting individuals, businesses and organizations to become sponsors of the 2025 festival.
Sponsorships offer brand visibility and help sustain the event's mission.
Details on sponsor tiers and donation opportunities are available at www.fairhopefilmfestival.org/become-a-sponsor.
