Happy Independence Day weekend, Baldwin County. The four-day weekend is packed with events, celebrations and fireworks locally and in the surrounding area. Take the family to the ballpark for a Blue Wahoos game, or eat watermelon until your heart is content in Grand Bay. Stay safe and enjoy the holiday celebrating with friends and family.
Pensacola Blue Wahoos vs. Montgomery Biscuits
What: Take the family out to the ballpark. The Pensacola Blue Wahoos host the Montgomery Biscuits this weekend at the waterfront stadium. The first 1,000 fans (21 years and older) will take home the second edition in the Blue Wahoos Hawaiian Shirt series thanks to Landshark. The Saturday and Sunday games end with a firework display, and Sunday is Military Family Day.

Flora-Bama Freedom Run
What: Spend your Saturday morning at the Flora-Bama's Second Annual Freedom Run. This patriotic run features two courses: the 4-mile course and the 1-mile fun run course. Break out your best red, white and blue attire. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Operation ReConnect to further their mission of giving military families the gift of time.
When: Saturday, July 2, race begins at 8 a.m.

Grand Bay Watermelon Festival
What: The Grand Bay Watermelon Festival is an annual family fun event with a pretty baby contest, open car show, rides, games, arts and crafts and food vendors, entertainment and all the free sliced watermelon you can eat.
When: Sunday, July 3 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Monday, July 4 from 9:45 a.m. until 6 p.m.
