ELBERTA — St. Benedict Catholic School's 49th-annual German Festival is taking place on Saturday, April 30, and the entire community is invited to head out and enjoy the free event. Festivities go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the school, located next to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church (12786 Illinois Street, Elberta.)
Festivalgoers will find arts and crafts vendors, entertainment and homemade German food including sausages, potato salad, pastries, strudels, kiffels and more.
Raffle tickets can be purchased for $100, each with the chance to win the $10,000 grand prize and ten additional $200 cash prizes the day of the event.
