The 2022-2023 school year is ending, and the city of Gulf Shores is sending everyone into summer on a sugar rush.
S'mores on the Shore is a one-of-a-kind annual event involving campfires on the beach, music and s'mores. This year's event at Gulf Place is Thursday, May 25, at 6 p.m.
The family-friendly event will include free s'more packets, a live DJ and a balloon artist. Families are encouraged to bring their blankets, chairs and friends and relax on the white sand of Gulf Shores Public Beach.
"We started S'mores on the Shores in 2010, and it quickly became a fan-favorite amongst our residents and guests," Recreation and Cultural Affairs Director Grant Brown said. "It's the perfect event for families of all ages who are looking for a little free fun and excitement. When you combine our beautiful beaches, music, campfires and s'mores, it really does make for an incredible night."
