Ellen Marie Roberts, age 70, a resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away at her home in Foley on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022. She died peacefully in her sleep and will now be with her loving parents Pete and May Roberts. Ellen was born in Mobile. Alabama in Sept. of 1952. She was a long-time resident of Daphne, Alabama and graduated from Fairhope's School of Organic Education. While in Daphne she was an active member of the Daphne Methodist Church and a member of the local chapter of the Eastern Star.
She was a current member of First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores and past member of Foley United Methodist Church. She was a resident of Regency Pointe Apartments in Foley. She retired from the Mobile Infirmary before moving to south Baldwin County.
Ellen was very active in the Foley Senior Center and will be missed by her many friends there with whom she enjoyed cards and dominoes. She was a participant in the Senior Games and was an extremely happy personality. In the past she had tutored 4th graders in reading, volunteered with the Holy Spirit Thrift Shop and with the Turtle Watch. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her brother Herman (Marghuerita) Roberts; nephews, Scott Roberts, Will Roberts; 4 great-nieces and great-nephews; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Arrangements for a "Celebration of Life" will be announced at a later date.
