"Elf" graces the big screen in Mobile

It is holiday movie season! Grab the family and friends and enjoy an evening viewing the 2003 American Christmas comedy "Elf" on the big screen at the historic Saenger Theater.

The film, directed by Jon Favreau and written by David Berenbaum, stars Will Ferrell as the title character. Buddy the Elf, a human raised by Santa's elves, learns about his origins and heads to New York City to meet his biological father. James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Mary Steenburgen, Edward Asner and Bob Newhart appear in supporting roles.

The film takes the screen Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Saenger Box Office, located at 6 South Joachim St., Mobile. Tickets prices range from $6 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. The film is rated PG.
