Eastern Shore Choral Society presents spring concerts

The Eastern Shore Choral Society, under the artistic direction of Mary Katherine Kilgore, will present its spring 2022 concerts April 24 in Fairhope and April 25 in Spanish Fort.

Guests will enjoy works such as "Hallelujah" from "The Mount of Olives" by Beethoven, "He, Watching Over Israel" from "Elijah" by Mendelssohn and "The Heavens Are Telling" by Hayden.

Special guest soloists will also join the Eastern Shore Choral Society to perform. Soprano soloist, Katheryn Hedlund from the University of Mobile will perform "Laudate Dominum" by Mozart. Mezzosoprano, Angel Sneed, from the University of Mobile will perform "Feel the Spirit" by John Rutter.

The concert will include a variation of music styles ranging from classic works, jazzy styles with smooth harmonies and swinging rhythms.

The April 24 concert will take place at First Baptist Church, 300 South Section St. in Fairhope at 2 p.m. The April 25 concert will take place at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, 6690 Spanish Fort Blvd. in Spanish Fort. Concert tickets can be purchased from any choral society member, at the door on concert day or online at ESCS.org.
