Ann Hearn (Dorothy Ann McMillan Hearn), born July 16, 1936 and daughter of Emmett Duncan McMillan and Dorothy Feagin McMillan (longtime residents of Mobile, Alabama), passed away on August 6, 2022 at 86 years of age. Ann graduated from Murphy High School and began her career as a civil servant at Brookley Air Force Base. She later moved with her husband, Jimmie Hearn and her three children to Huntsville, Alabama. Here, she had 30 years of service with the Army Materiel Command as a logistics manager.

Ann’s attention to detail was evident in everything she did. She loved to sew and cross stitch, as seen throughout her home. An avid reader, Ann enjoyed nothing more than a good book. She loved nature and all creatures great and small but nothing more than her rescue dogs, often donated by daughters Jill and Suzanne. When she retired in the 1990’s, she obtained her Master Gardener certification and spent endless hours planting, managing and perfecting her garden. She loved her family and worked tirelessly in providing for them, and always praised her Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Eulalie McMillan (Douglas McClinton).

Survivors include Jimmie R. Hearn, beloved husband; children: Robin Goebel, Jill Wesolowski (Charles), Suzanne Komara (Jeffrey); sister: Emily McMillan, grandchildren; Tracy Lakin (Shea), Lindsey Purviance (Steve), Johnna Komara, Charlene Ross (Scott), Elizabeth, Wanda and Daniel Wesolowski. She also had four beautiful great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

We would like to offer special thanks to Jennifer Drummond, Hospice of North Alabama and Lilly Springs Home during this trying time.
