The D’Olive Bay Boat Launch in Daphne is set to re-open Wednesday, April 5, at 10 a.m.
The re-opening was made possible through assistance from a grant provided by the state just in time for the busy boating season in the Jubilee City.
The project included a new pervious paver parking area for vehicles and trailers to assist in providing improved water quality from storm water drainage. The launch was repaired and strengthened for additional traffic. The project also included connecting the existing Lake Forest Yacht Club sidewalk to the boat launch area via a new boardwalk, handicap accessibility, new fencing, landscaping, shore stabilization and storm water infrastructure improvements.
“As the Jubilee City continues to grow, one of my top priorities is to preserve the quality of life that makes this such a great place to live, work and play,” Daphne Mayor Robin LeJeune said. “The improvements to the D’Olive Bay Boat Launch is one of many projects we are working on keeping that goal in mind.”
D’Olive Bay Boat Launch is located at 1 Yacht Club Drive in Daphne.
