Applicants must be a 2025 graduating senior and reside in Baldwin County to apply. The deadline for the local program is June 7.
Baldwin County's Distinguished Young Woman advances to the state competition in January, and the state winner will represent Alabama and the national program.
Participants from across Baldwin County will showcase their scholastic achievements, talent, fitness, interview skills and presence and composure, earning thousands of dollars in scholarships along the way.
The judging evaluations are based on five categories: scholastics (25%), interview (25%), talent (20%), fitness (15%) and self-expression (15%). Participants are also recognized with various scholarships including the "Has Been" Award; Be Your Best Self; Bob and Sue Stanley Spirit of DYW Award; as well as local and numerous college-granted scholarships.
