Daphne Utilities has received national recognition for its compliance with water quality standards.
The company was honored at the National Association of Clean Water Agencies' (NACWA) 2024 Utility Leadership Conference, held July 24 in Buffalo, New York.
Daphne Utilities was among the select few recognized during the conference, where NACWA presented its annual Peak Performance Awards. This year, 510 treatment facilities across 196 member public agencies were acknowledged for their outstanding levels of compliance and performance related to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. This permit is essential for facilities discharging into U.S. waters, ensuring that such discharges do not compromise water quality or human health.
"We are incredibly proud of our team for this achievement," said Samantha Coppels, chief communications officer at Daphne Utilities. "This recognition highlights the dedication and commitment of our entire team to protecting our community and the environment."
The 2024 Peak Performance Awards reflect permit compliance for the 2023 calendar year. A complete list of honorees is available on NACWA's website at www.nacwa.org.
