The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announced that Danielle Mashburn-Myrick has been selected to the class of ABI's 40 Under 40 for 2022. ABI's annual program recognizes from around the country 40 outstanding bankruptcy industry professionals under the age of 40. This year's honorees will be celebrated at a special ceremony to be held during the ABI's Winter Leadership Conference in early December.

Mashburn-Myrick focuses her practice on bankruptcy and creditors' rights and commercial litigation. She represents clients across the firm's footprint and mid-Atlantic states, and in numerous industries including marine and energy, healthcare, retail, hospitality, commercial real estate, transportation, and banking and financial services. Through her dedication and hard work, Mashburn-Myrick has handled a broad variety of commercial and consumer bankruptcy cases, giving her a depth of experience and perspective unmatched by others still so early in their careers.

Earlier this year, Mashburn-Myrick was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America 2022 as a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law (2022) and Litigation - Bankruptcy (2022), and among the 2022 40 Under 40 by Mobile Bay Magazine. Prior to joining Phelps, Mashburn-Myrick clerked for the Hons. Margaret A. Mahoney and Henry A. Callaway in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Alabama. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude in 2013 from the University of Alabama School of Law.

"Danielle brings strategic insight and tenacity to every client matter, making her a formidable advocate," said Allen E. "Teeto" Graham, Mobile Managing Partner. "Whether she is handling a complex case in court, or taking the helm of a legal industry committee, Danielle is a skilled lawyer and communicator who raises the bar for herself and her colleagues."

"I'm honored and grateful to the ABI for this important recognition," said Mashburn-Myrick. "I love the work I do and am grateful every time a client places their trust in me," she continued. "I endeavor to exhibit the highest levels of professionalism both in and out of court in my ongoing effort to deliver the most strategic and effective representation to my clients."
