LOXLEY — Crown West Realty has broken ground on the first building to call the Loxley Logistics Center, a 200-acre industrial park designed to meet the region's growing demand for modern warehouse and distribution space, home.
The initial phase of the project will include a 162,000-square-foot cross-docked facility, with delivery expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. The new development marks a milestone for Crown West Realty as it continues to expand its footprint across the Gulf Coast. The firm specializes in the development and management of Class A warehouse and flex properties across the United States.
"We love the story in Baldwin County," said Brett Sanders, vice president of asset management at Crown West. "We like the access and the growth available here. We appreciate the support of local civic and economic leaders. Companies are seeing what we already know: this part of the Gulf Coast is a great location for industrial tenants — whether they're focused on distribution or manufacturing. We're proud to be building the Class A industrial space they need to succeed."
Crown West entered the Baldwin County market in 2021 with the acquisition of an eight-building, 1 million-square-foot portfolio. The firm followed that investment this May with the purchase of the Willis Logistics Center, a two-building complex totaling nearly 200,000 square feet in Theodore. Together, these holdings make Crown West one of the largest industrial landlords in the Mobile Bay region, with nearly 1.5 million square feet under ownership and management.
Crown West recently sold 57 acres within the Loxley Logistics Center to Butting USA for its North American headquarters and first U.S. production facility, a sign of strong market demand for high-quality industrial space in Baldwin County.
"Crown West Realty's continued investment in Baldwin County is a strong vote of confidence in the strength and momentum of our regional economy," said Lee Lawson, president and CEO of the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance. "Loxley Logistics Center will be a vital asset for companies looking to grow and succeed along the Gulf Coast."
