There’s nothing quite like the perfect combination of spicy, buttery crawfish and an ice-cold margarita to wash it down.
If that sounds like a dream come true, then the Mudbugs & Margaritas Crawfish Festival is the place to be.
Returning to Heritage Park in Foley on Saturday, April 5, this event promises a full day of Cajun flavors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities, celebrating Gulf Coast culture in a lively outdoor setting.
Attendees can enjoy freshly boiled crawfish, creative crawfish-inspired dishes from food vendors, and a selection of Southern favorites. Ice-cold margaritas, craft beers, wine and specialty cocktails will be available, along with a free bourbon tasting from Dread River Distilleries. In addition to the food and drinks, the festival will feature live music, a large kids zone with a petting zoo, arts and crafts vendors and interactive contests throughout the day, with winners receiving $50.
The event kicks off at 10 a.m. with a performance by Magnolia Dance Center, followed by live music from Krash Party at 11 a.m. The Margarita Macaroon Eating Contest takes place at 12:30 p.m., offering a cash prize to the winner. Krash Party returns to the stage at 1 p.m., followed by surprise dance and music performances at 2:30 p.m. The Catch the Mudbugs Contest begins at 3:30 p.m., and the festival closes out with a performance by The Velcro Pygmies at 4 p.m.
Gates open at 10 a.m., with activities running until 6 p.m. Admission is $5, while children 12 and under can attend for free.
